I am going through this with my 13 month old. I feel like such a bad mum and like its my fault! She goes to daycare one day a week and they make me feel like she's behind because she doesn't eat the spaghetti or bangers and mash they offer. She eats small bits of bread on her own but chokes and spits up if I try to give her dinner with chunks in it or mash. I've tried her with a mashed, soft risotto and she chokes on that. I'm not sure what to do. I might end up seeing a speech therapist about it. How is your sons speech? I have been told that they need to learn to eat and move food around their mouth to help teach them how to talk and make words and sounds. My daughters speech is lacking a little. She only says about 4 words and hardly babbles.
